Jason Pidhirney Named Passages' Scattering Tube Design Contest Winner

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Jason Pidhirney has been selected as the winner of Passages International's Scattering Tube design contest.

Pidhirney has been employed with Park Memorial Funeral Home, Crematorium & Reception Centre for nearly 11 years. Of its five physical locations, Pidhirey works at the main facility in Edmonton, Alberta. His entry consisted of having a customized scattering tube. This idea synchronized perfectly with Passages desire to incorporate personalization and adds a new dimension to the current product line consisting of various comforting artwork designs that have proven to be valuable to a wide range of families. Passages is also happy to introduce the personalization aspect to any of its existing tubes.

The new scattering tube, as well as the contest winner, is being introduced at the CANA Marketing Symposium in Las Vegas this month. It will have the option of being personalized with a photo or with the name and birth/death dates of the loved one.

Passages International pioneered the Scatter Tube concept and was the first to introduce it to funeral professionals. The Tubes are designed and engineered to simplify the scattering process. They are durable, dignified and easy to use because they feature a removable lid and industry-first, perforated “push-in” tab, to easily open the tube prior to use.

We’ve already introduced a personalized biodegradable water burial urn and with this new scatter tube we will continue to expand on the personalization aspect that is so meaningful to families. It is an element that truly makes any product unique.”

As the contest winner, Pidhirney is receiving a roundtrip airfare and registration to the CANA Marketing Symposium along with two nights’ hotel accommodations and a free case of the new Scattering Tube.
