Funeral Home Call Answering Firm Launches Live Web Chat

SAINT JOHN, New Brunswick – Directors’ Choice has announced its new live chat feature – Web Chat – that gives potential client families the choice of contacting the funeral home by live online chat as well as by telephone 24 hours a day.

Directors' Choice’s owner, Gary Darychuk said in a news release, “Our new Web Chat has opened up an additional channel in which potential client families can communicate with funeral homes. Just as funeral homes have relied on us to cover their telephone inquiries for over 15 years, the same agents can cover the Internet inquires as well.”

The Web Chat feature is installed on the funeral home’s website. Once it is active, the Directors’ Choice agents are available and ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to answer any questions that come via chat. During the trial phase of the Web Chat service, Director’s Choice fielded inquiries about prearrangements, pricing inquiries, directions and lodging and even first calls.

Justin Baxley, general manager of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, with several locations in Florida, said, “The first call coming in over Live Chat amazed me!! I think this mode of communication has great potential.”
