Two High-Powered Executives Resign from Foundation Partners Group

The changes keep coming at Foundation Partners Group, a funeral home consolidator in Orlando, Fla., and the most recent one is big: Company co-founders Jim Price and Steve Shaffer recently resigned from the company.

Price will remain an investor in the company and so will Shaffer. “We both are committed to staying involved in funeral service,” Price says in an email. “However, both of us are going to take the balance of the year off.”

Price and Shaffer most recently served the company as executive vice presidents of portfolio development, but they previously wielded more power: Price once served as the company’s chief operating officer and Shaffer served as its president and CEO. With their departure, all four founding executive partners of a company that’s less than three years old have moved on.

Funeral Service Insider will publish a larger article about the most recent changes at Foundation Partners Group in its Sept. 16 issue. Subscribe to Funeral Service Insider.
