INDIANAPOLIS – Rick Waddle has been hired as a funeral director for Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, located at 10612 East Washington St., according to a news release. Previously he worked for Baue Funeral Homes, in St. Charles, Mo.
Originally from Flatwoods, Kentucky, Waddle graduated with honors from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2008. While there, he received the James C. Lyerly Award (for potential business acumen) as well as the Restorative Art Award.
Once fully licensed, he worked for TIES (Totally Independent Embalming Service) Mortuary Service, in Louisville, Kentucky, where he obtained extensive embalming and cremation experience. At TIES, he discovered his passion was serving families during their time of loss.
“We are grateful for the talent, compassion and professionalism that Rick brings to Washington Park East,” said Tony Lloyd, chief operating officer for Flanner and Buchanan.
