Passages International Introduces Two New Sand Urns

Passages International Inc. adds Oceane, Sand Quartz White and Oceane, Sand Permanent designs to its already successful collection of biodegradable and eco-friendly urns.

The Oceane, Sand Quartz White urn is designed specifically to allow the family some time for a final farewell by floating briefly before gracefully sinking. Once it sinks, it dissolves in a matter of hours. The length of time each urn takes to sink depends on the product selected, the weight of the cremated remains and the water conditions. Each urn comes with a water soluble bag in which the cremated remains must be placed. The urn can also be buried and will biodegrade in three months.

The Oceane, Sand Permanent urn is virtually identical to the top-selling Ocean, Sand biodegradable urn, but designed for permanent use. The urn is kiln-fired for strength & durability and is ideal for presentation in the family home or placement in a cemetery niche.

“To be on the cutting-edge of funeral service today, you should be carrying at least a small urn selection that is conducive to biodegradable water burial,” said Darren Crouch, president of Passages International. “We are here to help you with the process of selecting those urns as well as best-practice marketing techniques. Our experience is that funeral arrangers enjoy having these unique options to present.”

Passages offers several lines of biodegradable water burial urns which come in varying colors, designs and sizes and all are carefully created from sustainable materials such as:

• Himalayan rock salt

• Non-toxic, food-grade recycled paper

• Sand & Gelatin

• Sustainably produced handmade paper
